About Us

Founded in 1958, based at our HQ, Gales Drive, Three Bridges and with Section meetings at the Maidenbower Community Centre.

We enable young people from every background to enjoy new activities; experience the outdoors; make friends; develop skills; gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Activities are a crucial part of Scouting and essential when providing an exciting, rewarding and memorable experience for our young people. Typically, we offer a number of adventurous activities on a regular basis such as rock-climbing, abseiling, kayaking, rifle shooting, archery, camping, cooking, bike riding and crate stacking. Our District Explorers also offer the chance to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and also run various expeditions overseas.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
