Go Beavers 2025

Date: 9th Jun 2025 Author: Gareth Thrower

On a bright and dry morning, 800 excited Beavers from across the West Sussex met at Blackland Farm for Go Beavers 2025—a day packed full of adventure, creativity, and fun!

5th Crawley’s Three Bridges and Maidenbower Beavers checked in with their leaders and waved goodbye to their grown-ups, and set off on their way to the main site. There, each group found their spot behind their colony sign, ready for registration and the big opening ceremony. With bags safely left in place, the day of fun could truly begin!

Beavers got the chance to explore four fantastic activity zones, each offering a whole world of fun:

Adventure Zone
Campfire, low ropes, dark tunnels, archery, and a thrilling assault course kept the Beavers on their toes!

Explore Zone
Beavers scaled the climbing wall, tried out bouldering, sat inside a real ambulance, gazed at the stars in the planetarium, and honed their aim with water target practice.

Create ‘n’ Do Zone
From racing cork boats and crafting up a storm to making giant bubbles and getting hands-on with STEM activities—creativity was flowing in every corner!

Fun Zone
Inflatable obstacle courses, giant slides, funfair games, grass sledging, mop hockey, football penalties, and even a soft coconut shy kept the laughter going strong.

Each group visited all four zones, with Beavers trying out many exciting activities. After a full day of fun and adventure, everyone came back together as one big team for a joyful closing ceremony, finishing the day with music and lots of big smiles.

Go Beavers 2025 was a huge success, giving our younger Scouts a chance to explore, discover, and most of all—have loads of fun with their friends. We can’t wait for the next adventure!
