Team Member 

What you’ll do 

Team Members are an important part of our volunteer teams, helping to deliver the weekly programme and support our young people. 

Your role may include: 

  • Helping plan and run weekly activities. 
  • Supporting young people during meetings and events. 
  • Helping with games, challenges, badge work and activities. 
  • Supporting camps, sleepovers and other events. 
  • Helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment. 
  • Bringing your own ideas, skills and interests to the programme. 
  • Working with the Team Leader and other volunteers. 
  • Helping with occasional administration or preparation when required. 

What we’re looking for 

  • We’re looking for people who: 
  • Enjoy working with young people. 
  • Are enthusiastic and willing to get involved. 
  • Can work well as part of a team. 
  • Are reliable and approachable. 
  • Are willing to learn. 
  • You don’t need previous Scouting experience. Training and support are provided. 

Time commitment 

Usually based around the section’s weekly meeting, with opportunities to get involved in camps, events and activities depending on your availability.
